The yet to be named Bicycling & Dining Club
Congratulations,
you have reached the official home page of the Bicycling & Dining Club.
Formed sometime
last millennium near Wiesbaden somewhere close to large river, which could have
been the Rhine, it was a good lunch, and the fillet steaks were excellent, the
wine flowed well and I remember a bottle of vintage port finishing the meal.
We even managed to ride the bicycles away from this one too!
The aim of the club is to ride out to lunch or dinner and in some cases ride
back, often with difficulty and not always successfully I might add. Also to
persuade event organisers to wine and dine us at their expense has been a major
aim, and to date reasonably successful.
The club membership is full, however we do have an associate membership available.
The rules of the club are simple. Only Penny-Farthing bikes may be ridden. Spats
must be worn to lunch and dinner engagements, preferably best Saturday night
five button dress spats. Everyone must try to remember where the hotel/airport/car/port/campsite
we came from is, as we have in the past not always found them.
