Fenay Cottage

At over 350 years old, Fenay Cottage is a Grade 2 listed stone built cottage, standing in the heart of this traditional fishing village. It was owned and lived in for 250 years by many generations of the same extended family. All were fishermen, master mariners, ships captains and crew, and for many years undoubtedly smugglers too. The house retains much of its original character and extends over three floors, with beamed ceilings and polished wood plank floors, yet incorporating modern facilities and night storage heating to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable holiday.

...............Situated in Sunny Place, to the left of the ' openings' steps above the Old Bakery tea rooms, it is within minutes walk from the seafront and beach, with restaurants, tea rooms, general stores, bakery and good pubs all close by. All are accessed by a fascinating jumble of narrow cobbled streets and pathways, yet only some 5 miles from the hustle and bustle of the busy fishing port of Whitby.
